The 3 "C's" - Ingredients of being a WINNER are: 1) Confidence, 2) Conditioning and 3) Concentration.
Practice, practice and more practice to gain Confidence; and, as you have done enough, your whole body gets Conditioned. Light physical training with weights and other calisthenics are wonderful. Both Confidence and Conditioning give you the result of Concentration - which we call, in our game, "Mental Toughness."
To be fair to one's self, everything takes time and scientific or intelligent approach is a must to learning this game. Self awareness and acceptance are the key factors of this sport. Lots of books, magazines, tapes and DVD's are very much in your reach. And most of them are available at the closest library for your advantage ... and it's FREE!.
Invest some time in these venues at the library - then - LESSONS. Group clinics at first - then private (or semi-private) when your skills get better in both pathways: Learning and Playing.
This Spring season, give yourself a "Gift of Tennis Smiles." There are no age groups in learning our fabulous tennis sport. The more you learn and play, the better you will be and the more fun tennis you will achieve.
Life's tenure is too short not to enjoy more about tennis and life existence. The sooner you have the "Bite of Tennis," the more smiles you'll have at heart and mind. The physical exercises for fitness are bonuses. As to the fellowships: they are Gifts from everyone that you hit balls with. And playing with friends is self-satisfaction to one's well being.
Have a Smashing Spring Season. For us Super Seniors, it's a blessing to wake-up every morning. God bless from our family circle ... Super Mario.
