Our Shoreline ladies tennis team won the 2009 Pensacola USTA Adult Ladies 6.5 Combo Championship back in November. We traveled to Daytona for the Section Championship this weekend (January 8-10).

In the USTA Section Championships/Daytona we ("Hotshots") won our Flight 3 Division on Friday and Saturday by beating all 3 other teams in the division. On Sunday we moved on to the semi finals where we lost to the eventual champion Jacksonville. Out of the 16 teams in the tournament we ended up in the top 4. This is a fabulous finish for us considering it was the first ever post season play for most of the team.

The weather was awful. Windy, sleet, rain and wind chills in the teens. We played with knit caps on, gloves, ear muffs, and our thickest winter coats.
