The Pensacola Ladies' Singles (PLS) Tennis Ladder is open to all ladies in the Greater Pensacola area who want to play some singles tennis and it goes live on August 1st, 2010.
The Pensacola Ladies' Singles (PLS) Tennis Ladder is ready and it goes live on August 1st!.

The PLS is open to all ladies in the Greater Pensacola area who want to play some singles tennis and it's FREE!

Your only real commitment is to play your 3 or 4 assigned matches each month. You play on your own schedule and wherever you prefer.

Read about the ladder and then you can join the ladder before the 1st - OR any time after the 1st.

Prince EXO3 Playtest Challenge at PAC Have you ever wondered if you were playing with the best racquet for your game? Prince is offering players of all levels the opportunity to find the right racquet for their game styles and preferences at the Prince EXO3 Playtest Challenge.

The EXO3 Playtest Challenge offers participants the following benefits:
  • A free tennis clinic
  • Personalized advice regarding the right racquet for your gamestyle & preferences
  • A Free Prince Gift
Time: 9:00-10:30am

During the free tennis clinic, you'll be matched up with the right racquet for your game style and preference and participate in drills designed to give you feedback on racquet performance. Greater Pensacola Tennis Association (GPTA) Pensacola, FLJoin your friends for the one - the only GPTA Margarita Madness Mixer at The Club. Please plan to join us for some GREAT Mexican dip and fajitas and great door prizes ... OH YEAH! and a FUN evening of TENNIS.

Time: 6:00 - 9:00-ish PM
Cost: $10 for members and $25 for new members or a renewal, which includes the fee for the mixer and a house hold membership to the GPTA for a year.

For the professional heckler, frosty cold beverages will be served, so plan to come even if you leave your racquet at home.

Six Different Tennis Facilities in the Greater Pensacola Area have gotten together to help the oiled wildlife in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties!
6:00-7:00pm clinic with the pros!
7:00-till Mixer

Entry Fee: Minimum $10.00 donation.
You do not need to be present to donate!

Entry Deadline: There is NO DEADLINE ... please call your favorite club to reserve your spot!

The night of the mixer here will be a silent auction at RSTC benefitting the oiled wildlife. It will start at 5:00pm.

Where do the donations go?

Five Different Tennis Facilities in the Greater Pensacola Area have gotten together to help the oiled wildlife in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties! The Greater Escambia Community Foundation, Inc. (GECF) is a nonprofit, community corporation created by and tor the people of Escambia Count and surrounding communities. They help charitable donors establish permanent giving funds that reflect individual philanthropic interests. A fund called the "Racquet Rescue Relief Fund" is being created by GECF. All monies collected will go into this fund to benefit oiled wildlife. Their official website is www.gectoundation.org.

Mixed Doubles Event

Tournament Directors: Geoff Watts and Scott Harrison

Scoring: Two out of three sets, 3rd set super-tiebreaker; regular scoring, USTA rules apply

Entry Fees: Payable to The Club; $50 per player. Includes Tournament t-shirt, Friday evening hors d'ouvres, Saturday lunch and dinner over evening tennis, Sunday lunch, awards, cold refreshments & action-packed play all weekend long.

Non-players can eat, drink and be merry all weekend for $20 - payable to The Club "Pub and Grub."

Entry Deadline: Paid entried must be received no later than Wednesday, August 18 @ 6pm.
